The Kingdom’s consulate in Houston has issued a stark warning to all Saudis in the area to heed the advice of local authorities in the wake of Storm Beryl, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Tuesday.
Saudis are being urged to exercise extreme caution and to reach out to the consulate’s emergency contact number if needed.
Storm Beryl made landfall in Texas on Monday, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake, claiming several lives and cutting power to nearly 3 million homes and businesses as it moved eastward.
Despite its initial ferocity, Beryl has since weakened to a tropical depression, according to the National Hurricane Center’s latest update on Monday evening.
