Food Safety Inspections in Madinah Hit Record High

In a bid to ensure compliance with food-safety standards, authorities in Madinah have conducted a whopping 21,507 inspections of commercial establishments in the month of June. This aggressive campaign is aimed at enforcing strict adherence to hygiene regulations, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Monday.

City’s Commitment to Health Education

In addition to the inspection drive, Madinah has also stepped up its game by training 2,000 individuals as part of its top-notch health education program. The city’s municipality laboratories have conducted 897 analyses on food samples in the past month alone to protect the health of consumers. Shockingly, 63 samples were found to be toxic, according to the SPA.

Urging Companies to Prioritize Hygiene

The city officials are urging all companies to adhere strictly to hygiene standards to ensure the safety of consumers. In case of any food-safety concerns, members of the public are encouraged to report them by calling the dedicated hotline number 940, as mentioned in the report.
