Ikram Abdi Spotted at Wimbledon in Classic Summer Stripes
Swedish-born Somali model Ikram Abdi made a stylish appearance at Wimbledon on Monday. She was photographed at the Ralph Lauren Suite before settling in to watch a game on day eight of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
Abdi turned heads in a classic summer stripes pant suit from the brand’s Polo Ralph Lauren line. She was seen seated alongside entertainment industry insiders like British actress Jodie Turner-Smith and British Netflix star Yasmin Finney.
Tony Award-winning British actress Sophie Okoneda was also present at the Ralph Lauren Suite, showcasing a stunning cream-and-white tailored look.
Wimbledon has been a hotspot for celebrity sightings, with the Royal Box attracting a number of A-list stars.
Located in the prime-viewing position at Centre Court, the Royal Box has been a coveted spot since 1922, boasting 74 exclusive seats. Invitations are sent out by the Chairman of the All England Club, while members of The Championships’ Organising Committee and The Lawn Tennis Association can also make recommendations, as reported by the Independent.
Among the guests on Monday were Lenny Henry, Cliff Richard, Nicole Scherzinger, and Prince Albert of Monaco.
The crowd at Wimbledon this year has seen the likes of Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault, David Beckham, Dave Grohl, and Dustin Hoffman in attendance.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Abdi may have crossed paths with US Mexican actress Hayek, as both were spotted at an event in London in June.
Qatar’s Fashion Trust Arabia threw a celebration at Claridge’s Hotel in London on June 17 to honor its cohort of winners for 2023.
Abdi joined the event alongside Hayek and the talented prize-winning designers.
Making her catwalk debut in 2018 during London Modest Fashion Week, Abdi has since walked for renowned brands like Iceberg and Charles Jeffrey. She has also been the face of major international campaigns for brands such as Burberry and Nike.
