Saudi Arabia Leads the Way in Women’s Empowerment at G20 Meetings

In a powerful display of leadership, Saudi Arabia took part in the Group of Twenty (G20) meetings under Brazil’s presidency, specifically within the Women’s Empowerment Working Group. The three-day meetings, hosted in Brasilia, marked the third gathering of the working group.

The Kingdom’s delegation, spearheaded by Family Affairs Council Secretary-General Maimunah bint Khalil Al-Khalil, played a pivotal role in shaping the discussions during the first and second days. Member states engaged in dialogue surrounding the ministerial declaration set to be issued, emphasizing the group’s key priorities and building upon agreements made in previous meetings.

On the final day of the meetings, the secretary-general will take part in a global symposium themed “The Economy of Care.” She is set to present “The Economy of Care in the Saudi Context,” showcasing the country’s commitment to exchanging international best practices and fostering dialogue on this critical topic.
