Saudi Stock Market Ends Week with Modest Gains

In a week of fluctuating movements, Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index managed to end in the green, gaining 8.32 points or 0.07 percent to close at 11,792.41.

Trading Turnover and Market Performance

The total trading turnover of the benchmark index reached SR6.4 billion ($1.7 billion) as 104 listed stocks advanced and 116 retreated. The MSCI Tadawul Index also saw a slight gain of 0.52 points or 0.04 percent, closing at 1,472.37.

The Kingdom’s parallel market, Nomu, performed even better, gaining 259.34 points or 1.02 percent to close at 25,776.04. This was fueled by 35 advancing stocks compared to 19 that retreated.

Top Performers and Worst Performer

The standout stock of the day was Saudi Reinsurance Co., with its share price soaring by 8.30 percent to SR30.65. Other top performers included Miahona Co. and Rasan Information Technology Co., which saw their share prices rise by 7.17 percent and 5.28 percent, respectively.

On the other end, Mouwasat Medical Services Co. was the worst performer, experiencing a drop of 2.12 percent to SR120. Other fallers included Saudi Ground Services Co. and National Company for Learning and Education.

Nomu Market Highlights

In the Nomu market, Gas Arabian Services Co. was the top gainer, with its share price climbing by 6.12 percent to SR12.84. Other notable performers were Mohammed Hadi Al Rasheed and Partners Co. and Bena Steel Industries Co.

However, Mayar Holding Co. suffered the most significant loss on Nomu, with its share price plummeting by 7.35 percent to SR3.15. Ladun Investment Co. and Natural Gas Distribution Co. also saw declines in their share prices.
