Saudi Cabinet Condemns “Genocidal Massacres” Against Palestinians
In a powerful statement, the Saudi Cabinet on Tuesday vehemently denounced the “continued genocidal massacres” being carried out against the Palestinian people amidst the intense battle between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, as reported by Saudi Press Agency.
Chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Cabinet not only condemned the atrocities but also called for an immediate and lasting ceasefire to be implemented, along with the urgent need for protection of civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories, according to SPA.
Furthermore, the Cabinet emphasized the importance of activating international accountability mechanisms to address the ongoing violations of international humanitarian law and resolutions of international legitimacy by Israel.
Delving into recent diplomatic engagements between Saudi Arabia and regional as well as international officials, the Cabinet underscored the crucial necessity of fortifying the existing international system as a robust defense against chaos and conflicts. It also highlighted the significance of establishing a cooperative framework for peaceful coexistence among nations in the face of the global challenges and crises, as per SPA’s report.
