Khayrat Al-Baha Festival: A Booming Showcase of Agricultural Wealth

In Al-Baha, over 45 farmers, beekeepers, and small business owners came together for the fourth Khayrat Al-Baha Festival. Organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, this seasonal event was a golden opportunity for farmers to display their bountiful agricultural products, from fruits to olives to honey and everything in between.

For many participants, this festival was not just about showcasing their goods, but also about seizing valuable marketing and selling opportunities. Year after year, they saw their sales soar as visitors flocked to the festival, which made its debut on the calendar in 2021.

Saleh Al-Ghamdi, a participating farmer, emphasized the festival’s pivotal role in the region’s economy and tourism industry. Another farmer, Ali bin Aoun, highlighted the festival’s impact on olive production and its derivatives, praising it for spurring growth and expansion among producers.

Beyond the business aspect, Khayrat Al-Baha Festival also served as a platform for farmers to network, learn from each other, and stay abreast of the latest agricultural technologies. It was a melting pot of experiences, ideas, and innovations.

In Al-Baha, including Sarat and Tihama, the agricultural sector plays a crucial role in shaping the region’s identity as a vibrant tourist destination. The festival was a testament to the region’s rich agricultural heritage and promising future.
