Trump Organization Announces Partnership to Build Trump Tower Dubai
In a bold move, the Trump Organization has revealed a new partnership with a Saudi developer to construct a high-rise tower in the bustling business hub of Dubai in the UAE. This latest project solidifies the organization’s footprint in the Gulf region.
Dubbed as Trump Tower Dubai, the development is set to cater to the elite Dubai luxury market, according to real estate developer Dar Global. The exact location and design details are set to be unveiled by the end of the year, adding an air of mystery and anticipation to the project.
Dar Global, the international arm of Saudi developer Dar Al-Arkan, shared that the development will feature a luxurious Trump hotel along with branded residential units. This collaboration comes shortly after Dar Global’s announcement of another deal with the Trump Organization to construct a high-rise tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Not stopping there, Dar Global is also working on a project in Oman’s capital, which includes a Trump hotel and upscale villas expected to be completed by 2028, as stated on the firm’s website.
Former President Donald Trump handed over the reins of his real estate empire to his sons when he assumed office in 2017. However, he retained his ownership stake in the Trump Organization, leading to scrutiny over potential conflicts of interest.
Critics raised concerns about his foreign business dealings, especially after a 2022 Congressional report revealed that foreign governments, including the UAE, spent over $750,000 at a Trump-owned hotel in Washington while attempting to influence his administration in 2017 and 2018.
Known for his close ties with Arab Gulf states, Trump’s decision to make Saudi Arabia his first foreign trip during his presidency underscored his commitment to the region. Eric Trump, the former president’s son and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, expressed pride in expanding their presence in the region with the launch of the iconic Trump Tower Dubai.
