Arab News embarked on a journey to explore the Al-Hada strawberry farm, where nature’s splendor and vibrant culture intertwine to create a mesmerizing experience.

Perched atop the scenic tourist area of Al-Hada, this strawberry farm welcomes visitors throughout the year. The opportunity to handpick fresh berries and interact with charming wildlife such as ducks, geese, and parrots against the backdrop of a tranquil waterfall awaits.

In addition to a quaint bird garden and a duck and turtle-filled lake, the farm boasts stalls offering delectable treats like ice cream, hot beverages, and strawberry juice. Visitors can also relax in seating areas and a cozy cottage.

Turki Al-Ahmadi, the mastermind behind the farm, explained his strategic design to draw visitors beyond the typical harvest months. The installation of various recreational facilities amidst nature aims to ensure a fun and relaxing experience for all.

His son, Bandar Al-Ahmadi, emphasized the farm’s educational aspect, offering visitors a chance to learn about different tree species while enjoying strawberry picking. Models of trees like pomegranate, fig, tangerine, quince, apple, and mulberry are showcased, accompanied by details on their habitat and cultivation.

“Our relatives insisted that a trip to Taif is incomplete without strawberry picking at the Al-Hada farm.”

Al-Subhi, who journeyed from Makkah with his family, marveled at the farm’s amenities, remarking, “Picking strawberries firsthand is a unique experience… my kids had a blast, and the cool mountain weather heightened our enjoyment.”

Abdul Mohsin Al-Qadi from Jeddah echoed the sentiment, describing the strawberry-picking adventure as enriching and captivating for his family. He praised the farm’s panoramic views and diverse activities that offer a blend of entertainment, nature appreciation, and cultural insights.
