Samar Nassar: Leading Healthcare Transformation in the Middle East

Samar Nassar is the powerhouse managing director of Healthcare at Accenture in the Middle East. With over 20 years of industry expertise, she is a driving force in transforming healthcare in the region. Her role involves helping businesses, governments, and organizations build their digital core, optimize operations, accelerate revenue growth, and enhance citizen services.

Nassar’s deep knowledge of healthcare systems in the Middle East has been instrumental in implementing advanced technology solutions tailored to the region’s unique challenges. She is a key player in enhancing patient journeys and driving change in the healthcare sector.

Prior to her role at Accenture, Nassar served as a board member of the health sector transformation program for Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 program and as managing director of healthcare at the Ministry of Investment. She also held the position of executive director of healthcare at KPMG Saudi Arabia, where she made significant contributions to the industry.

During her time at Artery’s, a health tech startup based in Silicon Valley, Nassar led the company’s expansion into the Middle East market, introducing AI-based diagnostic imaging technologies to the region.

Nassar’s diverse experience includes serving as the marketing director at the National Center for Privatization and PPP, where she played a key role in improving public-private relationships in the healthcare sector. She has also worked as a regional director at GE Healthcare and as a sales product specialist at Johnson & Johnson MedTech.

With a background in biochemistry, Nassar holds an MBA in international business from the University of Birmingham and a master’s degree in healthcare and design from Imperial College London, in a joint program with the Royal College of Arts. Her unique combination of skills and experience positions her as a leader in healthcare transformation in the Middle East.
