Royal Nature Reserve Buzzing with Beehive Activity

In a buzzing announcement, the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve Development Authority revealed that a whopping 25,737 beehives spread across 256 sites within the reserve are actively participating in this year’s honey production season.

The season, which kicked off in July and will run until April 2025, promises a sweet harvest for beekeepers and farmers alike, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

Sustainably Sweet: Talh and Sidr Honey Production in Full Swing

The reserve is known for producing two of the finest types of honey: talh and sidr. The production of these sought-after varieties will continue until the end of September, showcasing the natural bounty of the region.

The authority’s goals extend beyond honey production to include engaging the local community in beekeeping, promoting sustainable development of bee products, fostering innovation, and creating job opportunities to elevate incomes for farmers and beekeepers.
