Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Attends Inauguration Ceremony in Mauritania
In a show of diplomatic ties and support, Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Khuraiji graced the inauguration ceremony of the president of Mauritania in Nouakchott on Thursday.
After the ceremony, President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani took the time to meet with Al-Khuraiji to discuss ways to strengthen the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Mauritania across various sectors, aiming to further the mutual interests of both nations and their people.
Representing King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Al-Khuraiji’s presence at the ceremony was a testament to the importance Saudi Arabia places on its relationship with Mauritania, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
Ghazouani’s reelection as head of state, following a decisive victory in a national vote at the end of June, solidified his position without the need for a run-off, showcasing the trust and support of the Mauritanian people in his leadership.
