Al-Jouf Region Thrives with Three Festivals
SAKAKA: The Al-Jouf region in Saudi Arabia is buzzing with economic and tourism activity, all thanks to three vibrant festivals that have captivated families and youth alike.
Al-Jouf Bounties Festival
The third Al-Jouf Bounties Festival in Sakaka recently came to a close, drawing an impressive crowd of nearly 70,000 visitors over its four-day span. This event surpassed sales expectations for local farmers and offered a plethora of children’s activities, entertainment programs, health awareness initiatives, and service booths.
Summer Fun Festival
In Dumat Al-Jandal, the second Summer Fun Festival was a hit among visitors, providing a wide array of activities and family-friendly entertainment. This festival also served as a platform for food truck owners, entrepreneurs, and productive families to showcase their offerings, promoting sustainable development. Additionally, cognitive skill-enhancing games were incorporated into the event.
Fruit Festival
The third Fruit Festival in Tubarjal governorate, which kicked off two days ago, is taking advantage of the region’s abundant fruit production, totaling 170,000 tons annually. With 32 pavilions showcasing agricultural products, the festival highlights the diverse fruits grown in the region. To complement the agricultural focus, attendees can also enjoy entertainment activities like a performance theater and a fine arts exhibition.
