This marks a significant increase from previous years, highlighting the center’s commitment to ensuring compliance.

Abdullah Al-Ayuni, director general of NCEC, emphasized that the surge in inspection visits will play a crucial role in promoting adherence to regulations. By closely monitoring facilities and activities, the NCEC aims to preserve the quality of environmental resources such as water, air, and soil.

Specialized national teams were responsible for carrying out the inspection tours, following a meticulous schedule that prioritized activities with high environmental impact and those within the public sector. This strategic approach ensured thorough coverage and targeted enforcement.

During the second quarter of 2024, there was an 18 percent increase in inspections compared to the same period last year, underscoring the NCEC’s dedication to upholding environmental standards and safeguarding the environment for future generations.
