Riyadh’s Human Resources Development Fund Boosts Employment Opportunities for Saudis

In a groundbreaking move, Director General of the Human Resources Development Fund, Turki bin Abdullah Al-Jawini, announced that the fund has successfully aided over 153,000 Saudi men and women in securing jobs within the private sector in the first half of 2024.

Al-Jawini revealed that an impressive sum of SR3.79 billion ($1 billion) was disbursed to private sector establishments for training, employment, and empowerment support programs during this period, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Tuesday.

With 1.4 million Saudi individuals and 100,000 establishments in vital sectors benefiting from the program, Al-Jawini underscored the fund’s dedication to aligning with the Kingdom’s progress in various fields, catering to the business sector’s needs, and meeting the demand for a skilled national workforce.

The fund’s mission is to enhance the skills of Saudis, boost their participation in the job market, and urge the private sector to contribute to localization efforts. Additionally, it focuses on strengthening partnerships with organizations involved in training, employment, and empowering the national workforce, aiming to enhance their competitiveness and sustainability in the labor market.

Al-Jawini highlighted that the fund’s initiatives and services have significantly benefitted individuals and establishments alike, emphasizing the fund’s continual endeavors to adapt to changes and demands within the labor market.

Furthermore, the fund is actively developing training, empowerment, and guidance programs targeting national personnel, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 for human capacity development and labor market strategy.
