Madina Book Fair: A Cultural Extravaganza

The Madinah Book Fair this year was a bustling hub of literary enthusiasts, with approximately 170,000 visitors flocking to the event. More than 300 publishing houses and agencies, both local and international, showcased their works, attracting a diverse crowd.

Spanning over 200 pavilions, the third edition of the exhibition saw a 22 percent increase in attendance compared to the previous year. Held at the prestigious King Salman International Convention and Exhibition Center in Madinah, the fair was a melting pot of culture and knowledge.

Taking place during the summer school vacation, the event saw a surge in attendees, especially students, families, and book lovers. A wide array of literary, cognitive, scientific, and Islamic publications were on display, offering a unique cultural experience.

The fair embraced a new vision and identity, in tune with the evolving publishing industry in the Kingdom. Building on the success of past editions, the event highlighted Madinah’s cultural importance in the Saudi landscape.

Part of the strategic “Book Fairs” initiative, the fair aims to bolster the publishing sector, promote cognitive and cultural awareness, enhance the quality of life, and contribute to economic growth in line with Saudi Vision 2030. It is a testament to the Kingdom’s commitment to nurturing a vibrant literary scene.
