Saudi Arabia Condemns Israeli Strike on Gaza School
Saudi Arabia has strongly denounced the Israeli strike on a Gaza school that was sheltering displaced people, resulting in the death of approximately 100 individuals on Saturday.
The Kingdom issued a statement through its foreign ministry calling for an immediate end to the “genocide” unfolding in Gaza. Saudi Arabia expressed deep concern over Israeli violations of international humanitarian law, leading to an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in the region.
Furthermore, Saudi Arabia criticized the international community for failing to hold Israel accountable for its actions.
UN Expert Accuses Israel of “Genocide”
An independent UN-appointed expert accused Israel of committing “genocide” in Gaza following the devastating strike on the school.
Francesca Albanese, the United Nations special rapporteur on the rights situation in Palestinian territories, condemned Israel for targeting neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, refugee camps, and safe zones. She described Gaza as the largest and most shameful concentration camp of the 21st century.
Israel’s Justification and Ongoing Attacks
Israel claimed that the school was being used by around 20 Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants, justifying the strike. This incident marks the 14th school to be targeted in Gaza since July 6, reflecting the ongoing violence and destruction in the region.
