Organized by the Saudi Falcons Club, the event is taking place at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, and will run until Aug. 24. More than 35 top falcon production farms from 16 countries are participating, showcasing their prized birds for sale.

High Bids for Top Falcons

A Falco cherrug, locally known as a Hur, from the Polish Fire Falcons farm, fetched a bid of SR65,000 ($17,320) at the auction, followed by another falcon from the same farm selling for SR105,000. The total amount raised for the evening reached SR170,000.

Exciting Opportunities for Falconers

Twelve auction nights are scheduled throughout the event, with competitions and auctions being live-streamed on TV channels and the club’s social media platforms. The club announces the falcons up for auction before each night.

Promoting Falconry Heritage and Conservation

With a track record of generating over SR18 million in sales in the past three years, the auction introduces new international breeding farms and encourages collaboration among producers and investors. The event serves as a valuable networking opportunity for falconers and breeders worldwide, aligning with the Saudi Falcons Club’s mission to preserve falconry heritage and position the Kingdom as a global hub for the sport.

The club’s vision to lead in falconry development, innovation, breeding, and care is furthered through this event, which also raises awareness about environmental conservation and contributes to the cultural and economic landscape.
