Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs meets with UN Environment Program Executive Director at 79th UN General Assembly
In a high-profile meeting at the 79th UN General Assembly in New York City, Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir sat down with UN Environment Program Executive Director Inger Andersen to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the Kingdom and UNEP.
Saudi Press Agency reported that the discussions also touched on Saudi Arabia’s initiatives and programs aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change.
But that wasn’t the only important meeting on Al-Jubeir’s agenda. He also met with the Netherlands’ Climate Envoy Prince Jaime de Bourbon de Parme to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation in environmental and climate matters.
