Exposed: Saudi Arabia’s Top-notch Workplace Safety Standards!

Saudi Arabia Affirms Low Workplace Fatality Rates

In a bold response to erroneous reports, the Saudi Arabian government has made it crystal clear that the Kingdom boasts one of the lowest rates of workplace fatalities globally, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Friday.

The National Council for Occupational Safety and Health delivered a powerful statement, as conveyed by the SPA, emphasizing that work-related fatalities are at a mere 1.12 per 100,000 workers.

“The International Labour Organization has recognized this remarkable achievement, underscoring the fact that Saudi Arabia has made substantial strides in enhancing occupational safety and health, leading to a reduction in workplace accidents on a national scale,” declared the council.

Praise for these accomplishments has also poured in from esteemed international organizations such as the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and the British Safety Council.

Established with the primary goal of harmonizing national policies with global best practices for occupational safety and health in workplaces, the council is at the forefront of driving positive change.

On the legislative front, Saudi Arabia’s labor laws have mandated that employers must furnish comprehensive health insurance that covers essential preventive, therapeutic, and healthcare services for all employees, as highlighted by the council.

The statement further asserted, “Regulations have been put in place to prohibit work under direct sunlight during the summer months and to set working hours in alignment with international standards outlined in relevant ILO agreements.”

Emphasizing the critical importance of verifying information from credible sources, the council stressed the need to rely on trustworthy outlets for accurate details.
