Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Participates in G7-Arab Nations Meeting
RIYADH: The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, was a key participant in an expanded session of the second meeting between G7 foreign ministers and their Arab counterparts on Monday, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
The meeting, held in Italy, revolved around the theme “Together for the Stability of the Middle East.”
Notable attendees included officials from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and the secretary-general of the Arab League. Together, they discussed urgent regional and international challenges.
Prince Faisal emphasized the crucial need to strengthen partnerships in order to effectively tackle these challenges. He specifically addressed the crises in Gaza and Lebanon, urging immediate action from the international community to secure a ceasefire, enable unimpeded humanitarian aid, and advance the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
Furthermore, he called for the respect of Lebanon’s sovereignty and urged renewed international efforts to resolve the crisis in Sudan and alleviate the resulting human suffering.
Accompanying Prince Faisal was Saudi Ambassador to Italy, Prince Faisal bin Sattam bin Abdul Aziz, as reported by the SPA.
