Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Unveils Riyadh Metro Project

The Riyadh Metro project is hailed as the backbone of public transport in the city, with its exceptional design and cutting-edge technical specifications. King Salman himself watched an introductory film showcasing the project’s features.

The Riyadh Metro Network

Comprising of six train lines stretching 176 km and boasting 85 stations, including four main stations, the Riyadh Metro is set to revolutionize public transportation in the capital city.

A Visionary Leadership

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman praised the efforts of King Salman, highlighting the project as a testament to his visionary leadership during his tenure as Chairman of the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh.

A Sustainable Public Transport System

The Public Transport Project in Riyadh City was meticulously planned based on extensive studies to address the current and future needs of the city’s public transport sector, ensuring a sustainable system that aligns with Riyadh’s unique characteristics.

Rollout and Operation

Starting from Dec. 1, the Riyadh Metro will be open to the public daily from 6 a.m. to midnight, with the lines launching in stages over the next two months to ensure a smooth transition for commuters.
