Emma Roberts to Star in Film Shot at AlUla Studios in Saudi Arabia

JEDDAH: Get ready for some Hollywood magic in Saudi Arabia as actress Emma Roberts is gearing up to star in a film shot at AlUla Studios. This exciting collaboration is made possible by Film AlUla and global media company Stampede Ventures.

Production Details

The film, titled “Fourth Wall,” is set to start shooting in AlUla in the first quarter of 2025. This project is part of a deal between Stampede Ventures CEO Greg Silverman and Film AlUla that was announced last year.

Revised Collaboration

After some recalibrations, the initial collaboration has shifted to focus on producing a specific slate of four films at AlUla Studios. This move aims to foster knowledge-sharing and mentor local talent, reducing the previously announced 10 film deal to four films.

Plot and Cast

The film follows a former child star who gets kidnapped and wakes up in a replica of her old TV show set with the rest of the cast. Roberts will lead the cast, working through trauma and recreating iconic show moments to survive and escape. Written by Jerry Kontogiorgis, the film will be produced by Silverman and Grant Torre of Stampede Ventures and directed by Alexis Ostrander.

Emphasis on Saudi Talent

Stampede Ventures plans to involve Saudi talent in various production aspects. Workshops and on-site training will be provided for departments like production staff, camera crew, art department, set operations, and more. This inclusive approach aims to support and uplift local talent in the filmmaking industry.

Celebrating AlUla

Silverman expressed excitement about bringing more films to the partnership with RCU after a positive experience shooting “K-Pops” in AlUla. He praised the unique allure of AlUla as a creative setting and the passion for filmmaking among the people of Saudi Arabia.

Previous Production

The previous production “K-Pops” was directed by eight-time Grammy winner Anderson .Paak, setting the stage for more exciting collaborations in Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning film industry.
