Lebanon’s Yasmina Zaytoun Shines as First Runner-Up at Miss World 2024
Dubai: Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon was named the first runner-up at the Miss World 2024 ceremony held in India, and she couldn’t be happier. Zaytoun expressed that her dedication and hard work have finally paid off, leaving her over the moon with joy.
In an interview with Arab News, Zaytoun expressed that her greatest reward was being able to represent Lebanon on a global platform. She highlighted her efforts to bring attention to important issues such as the Beirut blast, women’s rights, and children’s rights, stating that making everyone say ‘Lebanon’ was the ultimate reward for her.
Zaytoun emphasized the significance of her achievement as the first Arab woman to secure the first runner-up position at Miss World, calling it a historic milestone.
During the ceremony, the winner was crowned as Krystyna Pyszkova from Czech Republic, with Indian contestant Sini Shetty making it to the top eight.
Reflecting on her experience, Zaytoun, who hails from Kfarchouba in southern Lebanon, shared that her biggest lesson was learning that winning requires patience and perseverance.
Zaytoun offered advice to aspiring beauty pageant participants, encouraging them to stay true to themselves and focus on inner strength and confidence rather than just physical appearance.
