Rain and Thunderstorms Forecasted in Saudi Arabia

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is bracing for further rain and thunderstorms, with authorities warning the public to exercise caution while venturing outdoors.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued advice urging people to steer clear of flood-prone areas, refrain from swimming in open waters, and stay tuned to official instructions disseminated through media channels.

According to forecasts, regions such as Asir, Jazan, Qassim, the Eastern Province, Madinah, Hail, and the Northern Borders will experience moderate-to-heavy rainfall, along with the possibility of torrential rain, hail, and strong winds stirring up dirt and dust, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

Additionally, Taif, Adham, Maysan, Al-Ardiyat, Al-Baha, Tabuk, and Madinah are expected to face similar weather conditions.

In the Makkah region, residents can anticipate moderate rainfall accompanied by active, downward winds causing dust to swirl. Parts of the Riyadh region, including the capital city, are likely to see light-to-moderate rain in areas such as Diriyah, Al-Muzahmiyah, Al-Hareeq, Al-Kharj, Hotat Bani Tamim, Al-Majma’ah, Thadig, Marrat, Darma, Al-Ghat, Al-Zulfi, Shaqraa, Huraymila, and Rumah. Similar weather patterns are also forecasted for Al-Jawf and certain parts of the Eastern Province.
