Lionel Messi Becomes Ambassador for Saudi Luxury Clothing Brand Sayyar
Argentine football icon Lionel Messi has stepped into a new role as the ambassador for the Saudi Arabia luxury clothing brand, Sayyar.
In a captivating campaign featured on the brand’s Instagram page, Messi, currently playing for Inter Miami, was seen donning the complete traditional attire – a pristine white thobe paired with a red-and-white scarf.
Messi’s Saudi Arabia Campaign
The campaign video showcases Messi striking poses for the camera while adjusting the headdress. The clip concludes with him holding an orange box bearing the brand’s name.
Messi’s Previous Campaigns in Saudi Arabia
This is not the first time Messi has been associated with campaigns in Saudi Arabia. In January, the Saudi Tourism Authority launched a global marketing campaign under the brand “Saudi, Welcome To Arabia,” with Messi as the face of the campaign.
The campaign, titled “Go Beyond What You Think,” targeted key markets in Europe, India, and China. It aimed to dispel misconceptions about the destination and invited audiences to witness the vibrant cultural transformation happening in Saudi Arabia.
Messi’s Visit to At-Turaif
In May last year, Messi visited At-Turaif, a 300-year-old UNESCO World Heritage Site in Diriyah during his family trip to Saudi Arabia. He explored the historical site and indulged in a dining experience at Al-Bujairi Terrace.
The football star and his family also ventured to VIA Riyadh and Boulevard Riyadh City, modern entertainment and retail districts in the city. They visited the Arabian Horse Museum, where they interacted with purebred Arabian horses. Messi even posed for photos holding a white falcon on his arm.
