Riyadh Ensures Efficient Entry for Umrah Performers During Ramadan
In efforts to streamline the entry process for Umrah performers during Ramadan, the General Directorate of Passports at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madinah has implemented a comprehensive strategy.
Advanced Technology and Highly Trained Personnel
Utilizing advanced technology such as biometric devices for identification and security documentation devices, as well as mobile counters, the directorate aims to ease the entry of pilgrims into the Kingdom. Highly trained personnel are also in place to assist Umrah performers throughout the process.
Support for Pilgrims from Around the World
To facilitate communication with Saudi border personnel, translation devices in 137 languages have been made available. Multilingual welcome teams at entry points are also offering support to pilgrims from various countries.
Adherence to Arrival Regulations
Umrah performers are reminded of the importance of following arrival regulations and instructions. Passengers are encouraged to seek assistance from passport staff at entry points or call the 24/7 unified call center (992) for any inquiries.
Special Passport Stamp for Ramadan Season
In collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the General Directorate of Passports has unveiled a special passport stamp to celebrate the cultural heritage, customs, and traditions of the holy month of Ramadan. Travelers passing through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam can receive the stamp throughout the month.
