Aatif Alshahri: The Financial Maestro
Aatif Alshahri, the mastermind behind financial affairs at the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu since February 2018, is a force to be reckoned with in the world of petrochemicals. With over two decades of experience under his belt, he is a true expert in project management, business analysis, financial planning, and strategic planning.
Alshahri is a trailblazer in driving teams towards success through the development and implementation of strategic financial procedures and leadership. His knack for establishing effective operational processes and structures has propelled businesses to new heights.
Not only is Alshahri a key player at the Royal Commission, but he is also a valued member of the audit committee at Jubail and Yanbu Industrial Cities Services Co., or Jabeen, since January 2022. From December 2018 to November 2023, he served as the chief financial officer at Jabeen.
His journey in the financial realm began as the financial controller at the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu from June 2005 to February 2018, where he managed all accounting operations with finesse.
Prior to that, Alshahri led the investigation department at the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu from September 2003 to August 2005. His expertise also shone as a financial consultant at the Saudi Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery from December 2011 to December 2014.
Before stepping into his current role, Alshahri worked as an accountant at Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi & Co., Ltd. from November 2001 to September 2003, honing his skills in financial management, profitability, and financial planning and analysis.
Alshahri firmly believes in the power of learning and teamwork as the ultimate keys to success. According to him, a successful manager should continuously develop themselves and their team to achieve organizational goals and foster a culture of ongoing knowledge growth.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Saud University in Riyadh, solidifying his expertise in financial reporting, general accounting, cash management, budgeting and forecasting, and insurance.
