MDLBEAST Empowers Female Leaders in the Music Industry
RIYADH: In a dazzling Ramadan sahoor night at Beast House in Jax district, Diriyah, MDLBEAST brought together prominent female media professionals and the company’s female team members for an inspiring event.
The night marked the launch of the second Hunna initiative, shining a spotlight on the successful experiences of female leaders at MDLBEAST who have made significant contributions to the music industry in the Kingdom and beyond.
Nada Al-Helabi, strategic director at MDLBEAST and director of XP Music Futures Conference, voiced the importance of nurturing creativity and innovation in Saudi Arabia. She highlighted MDLBEAST’s remarkable journey in elevating the Saudi music and creative industry within a short span of time.
Al-Helabi also highlighted the core mission of the XP Music Futures Conference, which aims to enhance the music industry in the Middle East, shape sector policies, spark conversations on building a robust music ecosystem, and empower young artists, producers, and label owners to turn their passions into a sustainable career path.
One of the initiatives launched by the conference is the Hunna initiative, aimed at empowering women in the music industry by connecting emerging female talents with successful women in the field.
The Hunna mentorship program for 2024 is currently open for registration and will close after Eid Al-Fitr. Aspiring singers, songwriters, music producers, and talent managers from the Middle East and North Africa region are encouraged to apply for the program to receive mentorship from industry professionals.
Additionally, mentors interested in participating can also fill out a form to join the program.
Al-Helabi revealed that the Hunna program has set up a dedicated WhatsApp group to keep participants updated on industry news and upcoming events. Regular listening circles will also be held throughout the region, providing a platform for women to engage and learn.
