Saudi Arabia Condemns Deadly Terrorist Bombing in Afghanistan
In a strong statement released early Friday, Saudi Arabia expressed its condemnation of the deadly terrorist bombing in Afghanistan’s Kandahar province.
The suicide bombing, claimed by the Daesh group, resulted in the deaths of three people according to Taliban authorities. However, a hospital source reported a much higher death toll of 20 individuals.
The explosion, which occurred around 8:00 am targeting a group of people outside the New Kabul Bank branch in central Kandahar city, has left many wounded. The provincial information department confirmed three fatalities and 12 injuries, but the hospital source suggested a more tragic outcome.
Saudi Arabia reiterated its firm stance against such terrorist acts, standing in solidarity with the Afghan people against all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism.
The foreign ministry extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the Afghan people, while also wishing a speedy recovery to the injured individuals.
The Muslim World League (MWL), based in Makkah, also released a statement denouncing the attack and expressing solidarity with the victims and their families.
