Makkah’s Fawanees Festival Lights Up Ramadan Nights
Makkah’s Fawanees festival, an annual extravaganza organized by the Makkah Chamber and supported by the Ministry of Culture, is drawing crowds of visitors this Ramadan season.
Taking place at the Makkah Chamber’s Exhibition and Events Center, the festival promises a plethora of entertainment, cultural showcases, social activities, and artistic experiences.
Featuring over 200 exhibitors at the Ramadan Market, attendees can indulge in a wide array of food and beverage options.
The event offers live performances and entertainment zones catering to all age groups, including a petting zoo and the Fawanees Studio, where influencers, entrepreneurs, and exhibitors share their wisdom and stories.
Dr. Turki bin Suleiman Al-Amro, the secretary-general of the Makkah Chamber, emphasized the importance of creative event planning in engaging the community and nurturing local talent to drive economic development.
“Fawanees has become a revolutionary social, commercial, and cultural phenomenon for both residents and visitors of Makkah during the sacred month of Ramadan,” he remarked.
“By promoting numerous small businesses and cultivating a vibrant entertainment scene, Fawanees encourages families and individuals to participate in its festivities, ultimately boosting Makkah’s economy, supporting local production, and enhancing the quality of life in line with the goals of Vision 2030.
“This event not only offers a unique entertainment experience but also serves as a platform to empower small and medium-sized enterprises,” he added.
The festival runs daily from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. until March 31.
