King Salman Humanitarian Aid Center Delivers Zakat Al-Fitr to Yemen
In a bid to assist those in need, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has partnered with a civil society organization to distribute Zakat Al-Fitr to Yemen. The agreement is expected to benefit 31,333 families who are struggling in the midst of a humanitarian crisis.
The main goal of this deal is to ensure that Zakat Al-Fitr reaches the most vulnerable individuals in Yemen, where the situation remains critical.
On a different front, the agency recently dispatched its seventh aid shipment via the Saudi relief sea bridge to Sudan. This shipment included 12 refrigerated trucks loaded with 14,960 food baskets, totaling 524 tonnes in weight. The aid reached Sudan’s Suakin Port after departing from Jeddah Islamic Port.
This aid is part of the second phase of the food security project in Sudan, which is being carried out by the Saudi agency with the aim of assisting 1.5 million beneficiaries. The initiative seeks to alleviate the challenging circumstances faced by the Sudanese people.
This effort underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting its brotherly nations in times of crisis and highlights the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Sudan.
In addition, the agency generously donated 25 tonnes of dates to Malaysia. The Saudi ambassador to Malaysia, Musaed bin Ibrahim Al-Saleem, presented this aid on behalf of the agency in the presence of several Malaysian officials. Al-Saleem praised the deep-rooted connection between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.
Furthermore, the agency distributed 400 food baskets to the most vulnerable families in South Africa as part of the Ramadan “Etaam” food distribution project in the country.
