Umm Al-Qura University Signs Agreement to Support Scientific Research
In a groundbreaking move, the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Moaddi bin Mohammed Aal Madhhab, has officially inked an agreement with Dr. Mohammed Al-Otaibi, the general supervisor of the Research, Development and Innovation Authority. The agreement, titled “Governance of Financial Support for Scientific Research in Research Agencies,” is set to revolutionize the landscape of scientific research in alignment with the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Under this agreement, the university will take on the crucial task of developing “specialized programs and mechanisms” aimed at enhancing the national research and innovation ecosystem. Dr. Aal Madhhab emphasized that the university’s strategic plan is centered around bolstering research and innovation, enhancing the outcomes of scientific research and postgraduate studies, and forging partnerships with key stakeholders in the field.
Furthermore, Dr. Aal Madhhab highlighted that the initiative will streamline efforts to support researchers and provide systematic funding for scientific research.
