Generous Saudi Students Feed 1,300 in Al-Balad – Heartwarming Act of Kindness!

JEDDAH Students from King Abdulaziz University and Kayani Event Management distribute iftar meals to needy families

In a heartwarming gesture of giving back to society, management information systems students at King Abdulaziz University teamed up with Kayani Event Management to distribute iftar meals and food baskets to needy families and homes in Al-Balad.

The CEO of Kayani, Rana Bajoudah, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to partner with the students during the holy month of Ramadan. She emphasized the importance of giving back and spreading blessings during this auspicious time.

Spreading Awareness and Creating Memorable Experiences

The collaboration aimed to reach those in need, including poor families, elderly individuals, and divorced mothers. It also sought to raise awareness, create memorable experiences, and provide support to communities in need. Additionally, it offered young generations the chance to participate in charitable causes and understand the significance of giving back.

Students Take Initiative in Giving Back

Dr. Raneem Saqr, the supervisor of the management information systems department at KAU, commended the students for their enthusiasm in participating in the initiative. She highlighted their dedication to estimating food requirements and preparing healthy meals for iftar alongside Kayani.

The students’ involvement in the initiative showcased their commitment to the community and their belief in the importance of giving back, especially during Ramadan. Around 50 students actively participated in distributing iftar meals this month.

Community-Focused Initiative

Arwa Al-Sunni, an amateur chef involved in preparing the iftar meals, expressed her pride in being part of the community-focused initiative. She diligently planned and arranged for the meals in advance, ensuring that no food went to waste and that each person received a sufficient quantity of food.

The students and members of Kayani gathered to prepare food boxes containing rice, chicken, water, laban, and dates. After the boxes were prepared, groups were formed to distribute the meals in Jeddah’s historic Al-Balad district.

Spreading Joy and Kindness in Al-Balad

Before Maghrib prayers, the students visited homes in Al-Balad, greeted residents with “Ramadan Kareem,” and handed over the iftar meal boxes. The act of kindness and generosity brought joy to the recipients and showcased the spirit of giving during Ramadan.
