Saudi aid agency KSrelief meets with Japanese Special Envoy for Middle East Peace
In a recent meeting at the agency’s headquarters in Riyadh, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, assistant supervisor-general for operations and programs at Saudi aid agency KSrelief, sat down with Japanese Special Envoy for Middle East Peace Tsukasa Uemura to discuss humanitarian and relief affairs.
Al-Baiz highlighted the efforts of the Kingdom through KSrelief to provide aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza.

44 relief flights have transported over 829 tonnes of supplies, including medical items, food, and shelter materials, to Gaza. 20 ambulances with essential medical equipment have also been delivered.
A fundraising campaign on the Sahem platform has raised nearly SR678 million ($181 million) since its launch on Nov. 2, with around 1.8 million donors contributing by Monday.
Donations can be made through Sahem’s website at sahem.ksrelief.org, directly to the campaign’s Al-Rajhi bank account, or by downloading the Sahem app from the App Store or Google Play.
Al-Baiz emphasized that the relief efforts have included 44 flights carrying supplies weighing over 829 tonnes, along with 20 ambulances. A maritime bridge has also been established, with six relief ships carrying supplies weighing 4,966 tonnes, bringing the total relief delivered to over 5,795 tonnes through air and sea bridges.
He also mentioned that KSrelief has signed cooperation agreements with various organizations, including the UN Relief and Works Agency, the World Health Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the World Food Programme, totaling SR150 million in value.
Furthermore, a memorandum was signed with UNRWA to provide $40 million in financial support for its emergency appeal in Gaza.
Since its establishment in 2015, KSrelief has implemented over 2,600 projects worth more than $6.5 billion in 98 countries, focusing on food security, health, sanitation, shelter, nutrition, education, telecommunications, and logistics.
