Saudi Football Revolution: Mohammed Adams Hails Incredible Changes

In a recent episode of Arab News’ “The Mayman Show,” Saudi Arabia-born British-raised football player Mohammed Adams expressed his admiration for the “incredible” revolution happening in Saudi football.

From Fields of England to Saudi Pro League

Adams, who currently plays for Al-Khaleej, shared his journey from playing on fields in England and the US to the Saudi Pro League.

Initially set to start his professional career with Blackburn Rovers in England, Adams faced a setback due to a last-minute injury that shattered his dreams of signing a professional contract.

Setback and Resilience

Despite the setback, Adams continued playing football on a part-time basis and eventually made his way to the US Major League Soccer, where he played for teams like Chicago Fire, Atlanta United, and Inter Miami.

Moving to Saudi Arabia

In 2022, Adams made the move to Al-Shabab in the Kingdom and is now playing for Al-Khaleej. He commended the changes in Saudi football as a result of Vision 2030.

Admiration for Saudi Football Revolution

Adams expressed his admiration for the revolution in Saudi football, particularly noting the influx of top international players to the Saudi Pro League. He emphasized the impact of facing off against top players in the Kingdom on his own game.
