Saudi Arabia Leading Humanitarian Efforts in Mine Removal

In a powerful display of commitment to humanitarian initiatives, Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, adviser at the Royal Court and general supervisor of the Saudi aid agency KSrelief, emphasized Saudi Arabia’s pivotal role in mine removal efforts.

KSrelief’s tireless work is focused on enhancing the environment, safeguarding civilians – with a special focus on women and children, developing essential skills, ensuring safety, promoting public health, and mitigating the dangerous consequences of mines on individuals and communities.

During his participation in the prestigious Third International Humanitarian Demining Conference held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, Al-Rabeeah shed light on the $2.5 billion Middle East Green Initiative. This groundbreaking initiative aims to lead the Kingdom and the region in environmental preservation while tackling pressing challenges.

The conference, themed “Mitigating Environmental Impact of Landmines: Resource Mobilization for a Safe and Green Future,” took place from May 30-31 and saw the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Essam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili.
