Saudi Airline Riyadh Air and Delta Air Lines Sign MOU to Expand Route Options

In a groundbreaking move, Saudi airline Riyadh Air and American carrier Delta Air Lines have officially signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance route options for travelers between North America, Saudi Arabia, and beyond.

The agreement, pending regulatory approval, was sealed on Tuesday by top executives from both airlines at the prestigious Delta Flight Museum in Atlanta. This marks the beginning of a promising long-term relationship that will involve codeshare and interline connectivity, as well as collaboration on loyalty programs and a wide range of aviation services such as maintenance, repairs, and training.

Tony Douglas, the CEO of Riyadh Air, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership during the ceremony, stating, “We look forward to establishing a productive and warm relationship with Delta Air Lines, a global aviation giant known for its excellence in the industry.

Douglas continued, “Riyadh Air and Delta Air Lines are aligned in our goals and commitment to delivering top-notch guest experiences, fostering loyalty, and promoting sustainability through robust networks and seamless connectivity.”

Delta CEO Ed Bastian also shared his excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the benefits it will bring to customers. “This partnership will open up a plethora of new choices, perks, and destinations for travelers,” said Bastian.

He added, “What sets Riyadh Air apart is their shared dedication with Delta to offering a welcoming, compassionate, and premium customer experience. This is why we are eager to expand and strengthen this partnership in the coming months and years.”

Riyadh Air, established in March 2023, is set to commence operations in 2025, promising a fresh and innovative approach to air travel for passengers worldwide.
