Makkah City and Holy Sites Commission completes Kidana Al-Wadi project

In a significant development, the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites has announced the completion of the Kidana Al-Wadi project by Kidana Development Co. This project comprises 10 residential towers, each with five floors, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Tuesday.

Location and Features

Situated in Mina’s block 38 near the Jamarat facility, the Kidana Al-Wadi project covers an expansive area of 33,000 square meters. This project is a part of the commission’s overarching strategy to enhance services and capacity at the holy sites.

Enhancing Pilgrim Experience

The commission aims to elevate the quality of services provided to pilgrims and enhance the overall urban landscape. With a focus on organizing and facilitating movement around the holy sites, the project is designed to accommodate up to 30,000 pilgrims. Each building within the project comprises 140 rooms to cater to the needs of the visitors.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

The Kidana Al-Wadi project features state-of-the-art amenities such as a main prayer area, outdoor sitting spaces, control and monitoring rooms, dining halls, medical clinics, advanced kitchens, and a waste-management system for each building. Additionally, the project incorporates technology for temperature control and efficient organization of pedestrian and bus movement. The area is equipped with 20 power stations boasting a capacity exceeding 30 megawatts to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
