Boosting SME Collaboration: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Pledge Closer Ties

Pakistan’s Minister for Industries and Production Enhances Cooperation with Saudi Arabia in SME Sector

In a significant meeting, Pakistan’s Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain sat down with Saudi Arabia’s Governor of Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority Sami bin Ibrahim Al-Husseini on Thursday to discuss ways to boost collaboration between the two nations in the SME sector.

Hussain embarked on a journey to the Kingdom earlier this week to participate in the two-day UN Multilateral Industrial Policy Forum taking place in Riyadh from Oct. 23-24.

During his visit, the Pakistani minister actively engaged with international delegates to explore strategies for promoting industrial growth and implementing sustainable practices. Specifically, he held a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s governor for small and medium enterprises in Riyadh, as confirmed by Pakistan’s ministry of industries and production.

According to a statement released by the ministry, the discussions between both parties revolved around mutual interests, with a focus on enhancing cooperation among small and medium enterprises.

Furthermore, the ministry stated that there was an agreement to increase the frequency of visits by business professionals between the two countries, indicating a strong commitment to fostering stronger ties.

Pakistan has been actively pursuing opportunities to strengthen trade and investment relationships, particularly with Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom’s leadership has reaffirmed its dedication this year to accelerate a $5 billion investment package for Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of the partnership between the two nations.
