Makkah Announces Expansion of Arafat Sermon Translation Project to 50 Languages

The Presidency of the Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque revealed on Wednesday a significant development in the Arafat sermon translation project. Now, the project will include translations in a whopping 50 languages.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, this groundbreaking initiative, led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, is hailed as the largest project of its kind in the world. Originally launched in 2018 with translations available in just five languages, the expansion to 50 languages showcases the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to spreading the message of moderation and Islamic values on a global scale.

In less than a decade, this project has seen remarkable growth, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s dedication to promoting peace and understanding worldwide. The Presidency announced that this year’s Arafat sermon for the Hajj season will reach an astounding one billion listeners globally, aiming to foster greater understanding and harmony through the powerful message of the Arafat sermon.
