Saudi Arabia Railways Signs Groundbreaking Contract with Ismail Abudawood and Procter & Gamble
In a groundbreaking move, Saudi Arabia Railways has officially sealed a major contract with Ismail Abudawood and Procter & Gamble to revolutionize the transportation of goods from the company’s factory in Damman to customers in Riyadh.
The deal was solidified by SAR’s Senior Vice President of Freight, Badr Al-Atni, and P&G’s Chief Operating Officer of Supply Chain and Logistic Network Operations, Ahmed Bannan, in a historic agreement that took place on Monday, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
Procter & Gamble is eager to tap into the extensive rail network to optimize its product transportation and elevate operational efficiency to new heights.
This strategic partnership is set to drastically diminish truck traffic on highways between Dammam and Riyadh, consequently reducing carbon emissions and actively contributing to the preservation of road infrastructure and safety, in alignment with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030.
