Saudi-Brazilian Coordination Council Established in Rio de Janeiro

The agreement was signed during a meeting between Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, signifying a strong commitment from both sides to enhance cooperation and collaboration.
According to SPA, this initiative builds upon the previous agreements made between the leaderships of Saudi Arabia and Brazil during the visit of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to the Kingdom on November 30, 2023, highlighting the long-standing ties between the two nations.
The Kingdom’s foreign minister’s visit to Brazil was timed to coincide with the conclusion of the G20 Summit, underscoring the importance of international engagement and dialogue in addressing global challenges.
Prince Faisal and Vieira delved into discussions on various aspects of their countries’ relations, exploring avenues for further development and growth. Additionally, they exchanged views on regional and international developments, emphasizing the joint efforts needed to address current issues effectively.
