Saudi Arabia Takes a Stand Against Drug Trafficking in Mauritius
MAURITIUS: In a bold move to combat drug trafficking and substance abuse, Dr. Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al-Dawood, Saudi deputy minister of interior, led the Kingdom’s delegation at the first-ever conference held in Mauritius. The conference, which concluded on Thursday, marked a significant step in the fight against drugs.
Al-Dawood emphasized that Saudi Arabia’s participation in the conference was a testament to its unwavering commitment to combating the drug problem. He highlighted the importance of monitoring and diagnosing the effects and harms of drugs, as well as the need for strengthening international cooperation and information exchange to tackle organized crime networks, especially those involved in drug trafficking.
