Breaking News: Saudi Ministry partners with Nigeria’s Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs!

Saudi Arabia and Nigeria Strengthen Cooperation in Promoting Islamic Understanding

In a groundbreaking move, the Saudi minister of Islamic affairs, dawah and guidance, Abdullatif Al-Asheikh, sealed an agreement with Nigeria’s Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Jeddah on Thursday. The main goal of this partnership is to enhance collaboration between the two nations in their joint efforts to spread the message of Islam, promote tolerance, and increase cultural awareness among Muslims.

Under this agreement, Nigerian imams and religious leaders will receive specialized training in areas such as preaching and teaching the Arabic language. Additionally, the agreement encompasses mutual cooperation in mosque-related matters, including construction, maintenance, restoration, as well as the training and advancement of mosque personnel.

One key aspect of the agreement involves the sharing of knowledge and skills in online preaching, with a specific focus on combating websites that propagate violence, extremism, or distort the true teachings of Islam.

Representing Nigeria at the signing ceremony was Sheikh Al-Hajj Yahaya Abubakar, a distinguished member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, while officials from both countries were in attendance to witness this historic moment.
