Breaking News: Saudi Police Detain 26 Hajj Permit Offenders!

Saudi Authorities Crack Down on Violators of Hajj Regulations

In a bold move, authorities in Saudi Arabia have arrested 26 individuals who attempted to enter Makkah without a valid permit for the Hajj pilgrimage. The Saudi Press Agency reported the arrests on Wednesday, highlighting the strict enforcement of regulations surrounding the annual pilgrimage.

The Ministry of Interior revealed that the Hajj Security Forces apprehended nine residents and 19 citizens who were caught trying to transport 102 people on Tuesday. These violators have now faced the consequences of their actions.

The General Directorate of Passports issued 26 administrative decisions against the offenders, including a 15-day prison sentence for each carrier and a hefty fine of SR10,000 ($2,666). Additionally, the fine will be multiplied by the number of individuals transported by each violator.

Furthermore, expatriate violators will not only be deported but also banned from re-entering the Kingdom for a specified period following the completion of their sentence. To add insult to injury, five vehicles used for transportation have been confiscated.

The Ministry of Interior has issued a stern warning to all citizens and expatriates, urging them to strictly adhere to Hajj regulations and instructions. The goal is to ensure that pilgrims can safely and comfortably carry out their religious rituals without any disturbances.
