Breaking News: Saudi Red Crescent to Provide 10k Medical Kits for Ambulances at Hajj!

Saudi Red Crescent Authority to Provide Over 10,000 Medical Kits for Hajj Ambulances

In an effort to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims during this year’s Hajj, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) is stepping up its medical support. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the SRCA will be supplying more than 10,000 medical kits to ambulances participating in the pilgrimage.

These kits will contain over 10 million medical consumables, essential items used by medical professionals to provide care to patients in need. The SRCA also has a reserve of approximately 5 million medical items stored at supply points, ready to be deployed as needed.

Each of these medical kits is designed to handle 20-30 standard emergency cases and 15-20 acute and critical cases. Additionally, each ambulance will be equipped with essential materials such as shock devices, oxygen cylinders, vital-sign monitoring devices, suction devices, liquids, and limb immobilization devices.

Prior to the start of Hajj 2024, the SRCA announced that they will be deploying 2,540 medical professionals, ambulance technicians, and administrative staff across nearly 100 ambulance centers. This proactive approach ensures that pilgrims will have access to quality medical care throughout the duration of the pilgrimage.
