Breaking News: Saudi Red Sea Authority Grants Marina Licenses!

Saudi Red Sea Authority Issues Licenses for Three Tourist Marinas

In a move to boost marine tourism and align with the goals of Vision 2030, the Saudi Red Sea Authority has granted licenses for three tourist marinas. Al-Ahlam Marina in Jeddah and Jazan, as well as the Red Sea Marina in Jeddah, are now officially approved for operation.

The authority’s focus on regulating marine tourism aims to elevate the quality of services for tourists and visitors while also ensuring the preservation and sustainability of the marine environment. Regular field visits to tourist marinas in Jeddah, Jazan, Al-Lith, and Yanbu are conducted to provide technical and consultative support.

To obtain a license from the authority, marina operators must adhere to international standards. The Saudi Red Sea Authority embarked on its journey to develop and regulate the coastal tourism sector in 2021, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among relevant entities, issuance of licenses and permits, formulation of policies and strategies, assessment of infrastructure needs, environmental preservation, investment attraction, and promotion of navigational and marine tourism activities.
