Saudi Arabia Approves Economic and Energy Deals with Various Countries

In a recent Cabinet meeting, Saudi Arabia has given the green light to economic and energy deals with countries such as Jordan, Brazil, and Japan.

Focus on Financial Cooperation with Qatar

One of the agreements endorsed was between the central banks of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, emphasizing cooperation in financing operations.

International Agreements Endorsed

The meeting also saw the approval of agreements between the Saudi government and countries like Oman, Georgia, and Morocco. Discussions included updates on cooperation efforts with countries worldwide to enhance bilateral and collective work across various fields.

Energy Partnerships with Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan

Saudi Arabia also reached agreements in the energy sector with Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable and stable petroleum markets. The focus is on advancing cooperation in clean energy sectors for a globally organized energy transition.

Support for Environmental Conferences

Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari highlighted the Council’s appreciation for recent Arab conferences in Riyadh focused on environmental issues. The Cabinet emphasized the Kingdom’s interest in collaborating with regional and global entities to strengthen agriculture, food security, and water resources in line with sustainable development goals.

Clearance of Various Cooperation Pacts

During the session, the Council of Ministers approved agreements including an energy cooperation deal with Jordan and a memorandum of understanding with Brazil’s Ministry of Mines and Energy. Pacts were also endorsed with Morocco and Japan in the fields of mineral wealth, mining, and mineral resources. Additionally, the Kingdom’s accession to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement was approved.

Exemption of Industrial Inputs from Fees

The Cabinet also implemented a decision by the Gulf Cooperation Council states’ Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee to exempt industrial inputs from fees. This decision was made during the committee’s 120th meeting in Muscat, Oman.
