Addressing the Gulf Research Meeting 2024, he highlighted the human cost of conflict and the necessity for a durable solution that upholds the rights and dignity of all parties involved.

Cabinet Discusses Local Programs and Initiatives

During a meeting chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Cabinet discussed various programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure, improving services for citizens and residents, developing sectors, advancing communications technologies, attracting investments, and boosting national industries. Efforts to reduce the unemployment rate in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 were also commended.

Positive Trend in Saudi Arabia’s Labor Market

Recent data from the General Authority for Statistics showed that Saudi Arabia’s overall unemployment rate stood at 3.5 percent in the first quarter of 2024, marking a decrease of 0.8 percentage points compared to the previous year. The unemployment rate for Saudi nationals also saw a slight decrease, indicating a positive trend in the Kingdom’s labor market.
